In the district of Hoboken, near Antwerp, an assignment was commissioned to condense based on a pilot project. The many large department stores such as: Hubo, Brico, Colruyt, Aldi and Carrefour were possible challenges to design a densification on top of the unused flat roofs. The open parking lot was re-organised and given another function when the department stores were closed in the weekends. Green space is returned to the people living in the neighbourhood making the existing Colruyt a nice place to work and live.
